Jason Momoa Has 5 Blunt Words For Tourists Considering A ‘Vacation’ Amid Maui Fires

Jason Momoa warned would-be holidaymakers “DO NOT Vacation TO MAUI” as fatal wildfires have devastated the local community this week.

“Do not persuade yourself that your presence is desired on an island that is suffering this deeply,” Momoa wrote on his Instagram web page.

“Mahalo to everybody who has donated and shown aloha to the local community in this time of want.”

Text on the clips go through: “The devastation from the wildfires will have a long lasting island-extensive effects on Maui’s sources. Our group wants time to mend, grieve & restore… Do not book a lodge stay… Survivors are the precedence.”

Momoa’s put up went on to suggest methods individuals can enable with relief endeavours amid the wildfires.

Firefighters are continuing to combat the wildfires in Maui County which still left properties “flattened to particles,” “incinerated” motor vehicles and apartment complexes that people in comparison to “a war zone,” according to the Affiliated Press.

The wildfires, which burned as a result of most of historic Lahaina, have marked Hawaii’s deadliest pure disaster in more than half a century.
