Previous White Dwelling health care provider and latest U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) was trying to support a 15-12 months-outdated lady who was having a medical emergency in the course of a rodeo in Texas on Saturday when he was “briefly detained” by cops, his place of work confirmed to The Everyday Beast.
A spokesperson for Jackson confirmed the incident took area through a live performance at the White Deer Rodeo on Saturday night on the outskirts of Amarillo. They described a “very loud and chaotic environment” in which Jackson was taken into custody—but in no way arrested—and rapidly released when the problem was spelled out.
The incident started just after Jackson was “summoned by anyone in the crowd to support a 15-year-previous woman who was owning a health-related emergency nearby,” his business mentioned.
The GOP Congressman had “sat in the stands through the complete rodeo, in full view of the assembled group, and was not consuming,” his spokesperson added.

They described how when Jackson arrived at the scene, “there was a relative, who happened to be a nurse, by now delivering help. Dr. Jackson discussed that he was a physician and requested her if she desired support, and she claimed certainly.”
The relative did not react to remark from The Each day Beast by time of publication, but they posted on Facebook shortly just after the incident describing the teen’s position and the scene—relaying at length a scuffle concerning authorities and Jackson, during which he was allegedly thrown to the ground.
A comment in the Fb thread from the relative also exposed the teen is now “awake and inform.”
The assertion from Jackson’s workplace also appeared to verify the report.
“While assessing the affected individual in a pretty loud and chaotic atmosphere, confusion formulated with legislation enforcement on the scene and Dr. Jackson was briefly detained and was truly prevented from even further assisting the patient,” Jackson’s assertion said, noting that “there had been no uniformed EMS providers on the scene at that time.”
“He was quickly introduced as shortly as regulation enforcement understood that he, as a health care qualified, was tending to the younger girl’s medical unexpected emergency.”
The nearby sheriff told The Texas Tribune the division is examining the incident but did not affirm Jackson’s id.
