Billy Joel Performs Touching Tribute To Jeff Beck At Madison Square Garden

The “Vienna” singer took time out of his New York City gig to recognize the contributions of Beck, the late guitarist of The Yardbirds who died on Tuesday right after “suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis,” in accordance to his representatives. He was 78.

Joel, who explained Beck’s loss of life as “the conclusion of an period” on Twitter, instructed the MSG group that he “always loved” the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.
